At Rayfords Edge, a complete remodel of the community’s clubhouse delivered both greater functionality and inviting aesthetics. Management offices were relocated, a leasing area with hospitality bar was created, and the lobby was opened up to visually encompass the pool area. By far the most innovative update was the transformation of an enclosed claustrophobic space above the lobby into a loft area for the business center. The loft’s half wall was carefully designed with cables to keep the space light and airy. All desktops “float”—suspended from the floor and ceiling by cables. Even tabletops are glass, adding to the sense of spaciousness and weightlessness.
